Another magnificent exchange between potential vice president Sarah Palin and Katie Couric.
COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read before you were tapped for this — to stay informed and to understand the world?
PALIN: I’ve read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press, for the media —
COURIC: But what ones specifically? I’m curious.
PALIN: Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years.
COURIC: Can you name any of them?
PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news.
Couric's look at 0:36 is priceless. As is the fact that Palin apparently thinks that we Lower 48ers believe Alaska doesn't have mail service or the internet. As is the fact that Palin reads every newspaper and magazine ever put in front of her (or every newspaper and magazine ever published, if you parse her response literally). As is the fact that Palin can't name one.

Hey! That Christmas line is mine. :-)
Dude, that's unreal. During interviews, Cyndee and I always ask potential candidates what their favorite magazines/web sites are. And even though lately we've had a few duds (Us Weekly, Cosmo) at least they can name some!
Didn't know that was your line. Apologies.
Yesterday I thought we established that if Palin's resume appeared on the desk at a company it would not warrant a call back. She would never make it to your interview. Remember this.
